All undergraduate, RN and graduate Nursing Students must attend hospital orientations as required by the agency and the School of Nursing.
Depending upon the institution, students will need to view either the Northwell Health System Orientation (formerly the North Shore-LIJ Health System) or the Universal Student Orientation as developed by the Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council.
After viewing either orientation, you will be given a post test. For the Northwell Health System orientation program, the post test will be given at the conclusion of the presentation. You must complete the post test and print the attestation form, which indicates you have viewed the entire presentation.
The post test for the Universal Student Orientation is located at the end of the power point presentation. Please print this post test, keep a copy AND give a copy to your faculty to collect.
In both instances, the report indicating successful completion of the orientation will be filed appropriate program’s files and shared with the hospital nursing education department.
