Description
This course focuses on the collaborative management of the care of individual/families experiencing a selected alteration in health. Grounded in advanced physiology, the concepts related to differential diagnosis, treatment modalities, referral, patient education and the role of the family nurse practitioner are explored. The focus is on the physiological implications of evolving health care problems. Application of diagnostic reasoning concentrates on health promotion, health restoration and rehabilitation through the lifespan. Prerequisites: NUR 524,NUR 562, NUR 563, 572, 573, 578, NUR 581, NUR 582. Corequistie: NUR 564. 45 lecture hours per semester.
