Description
This course provides students with the opportunity to explore and analyze the role of the Nurse Practitioner in professional organizations which support the Nurse Practitioner role. Nurse Practitioner protocols and collaborative practice agreements will be discussed, analyzed, and created. Case management and research principles will be introduced and strategies for incorporating these principles into practice will be reviewed. Legislative issues and health care policies' impacting on the role of the Nurse Practitioner will be analyzed. 30 lecture hours.
