Description
Students will enhance their mathematical skills while providing an introduction to accounting, finance, insurance, statistics, taxation and other math-related subjects. Consumer math applications, such as bank reconciliation, discounting, markups and markdowns, installment purchases and simple and compound interest are also covered in depth. Prerequisites: Three years of high school mathematics, including Integrated Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2 and Trigonometry; passing of the Integrated Algebra Regents Examination; or equivalent.
