Description

This course will focus on the concepts of Precalculus and Calculus releveant to topics and courses taught at the secondary level. Following the reform approach, topics are studied geometricially, numerically, analytically and verbally as appropriate. Topics include review of different types of functions and their representations, limits and continuity, derivatives, integrals, series and applications. Use of the graphing calculators, applications and modeling, and pedagogical techniques such as cooperative learning stratiegies will be emphasized throughout the course. Developmentally appropriate presentations of the topics for the diverse learner will be explored.
