Description
This course will examine the theory and practice of leadership and the role that individuals can play in promoting social change in their own communities. Among the topics that will be discussed are: the nature of leadership, the characteristics of effective leaders and the role of civic leaders in solving pressing societal problems. The underlying aim of this course is to inspire students to explore their own innate potential for leadership and to contemplate the possible ways that they can work to transform American society at the dawn of the 21st century. Core courses are not open to Freshmen or Sophomores, except for associate degree candidates.
