Description
A study of the revolutionary technologies that have brought biology and computer science into the fused or ?hybrid? science called bioinformatics. Basic computational algorithms are applied to answer biological questions and explore the rapidly growing fields of genomics and proteomics. Prerequisites: BIO 127 and 242 or permission of the instructor. Two lecture hours and two lab hours per week. Required of all biology majors in the Adolescent and Adolescent Special Education Programs.
