Description
This course will provide the students with a conversational Spanish grammar review focused in a medical work-place context. A task-based approach will allow the students to acquire and practice vocabulary related to healthcare, while performing dialogues and role-playing in conversations, being those exercises that will lead them to solidify and improve upon existing abilities after having taken the previous Spanish courses for this minor. Advanced grammatical structures, linguistic expressions related to the medical fields, as well as more in-depth cultural considerations regarding health issues in Hispanic culture will be an important component of this course, where students will be trained to evaluate, treat and educate patients who come from Spanish-speaking countries and do not speak English.
