Description

(formerly SPA 115, 125; formerly Spanish for Everyday I, II)
These are introductory courses that focus on the development of communicative proficiency in the Spanish language. These courses afford students the opportunities to practice speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in Spanish, as well as to gain knowledge and understanding of the culture. Particular emphasis is placed on the systematic mastery of vocabulary grammatical structures and conversational skills. SPA 101 is intended for students with little or no previous experience in the language. SPA 102 is intended for students who have taken SPA 101 or with 3 or more years of Spanish at the secondary level. Students are required to complete 1 hour of lab work per week in the Language Resource Center.
