Description
An introductory study of the fields and methods of psychology. Research and theory are considered with regard to such topics as: the nervous system, sensation and perception, learning and memory, cognition, consciousness, intelligence, motivation and emotion, child development, personality, social behavior and abnormal behavior. Practical applications of psychological principles and culturally oriented interpretations of information are emphasized. Prerequisite for all Psychology courses except PSY 355.
