Internship placements are available in local offices of government agencies and elected officials in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Interns will have the opportunity to observe and participate in the political process at the grass roots level. In addition to their internship assignments, which include 100 hours at internship site, students must meet at least 4 times during the semester with their professor from the History/Political Science Department. students must attend a weekly seminar with an advisor from the History/Political Science Department. Prerequisite: Chairperson approval.
