Description

(formerly Women and Philosophy)
Does gender affect the way we think? Because philosophy is one of several disciplines that have traditionally been dominated by men, contemporary criticisms are common. This course explores the legitimacy of those criticisms by considering sex and gender in two ways: the work of female philosophers and the treatment of men and women as philosophical subjects, both present and historically.
