The role of the family nurse practitioner in the care of the patients presenting with symptoms and conditions most frequently encountered in clinical practice is emphasized throughout the course. Specific pathologies and resulting interventions are discussed in detail. Integration of research into practice will be emphasized, as well as the advanced practice role within a changing socio-economic climate. 45 lecture hours per semester.
