Description
This culminating course will provide students the opportunity to further expand their role as a advanced practice nurse in psychiatry. Students, in preceptored situation with a NPP or Psychiatrist, may choose a specialty area such as: adult, adolescent, geriatric, dual diagnosis, and chemically dependent populations. Clinical practice may include the role of primary provider, consultation/liaison, case manager, and multi-disciplinary treatment member. The Molloy College Humanistic Framework will focus on health promotion, health restoration, and rehabilitation. (Pass/Fail Practium.) Seminar and 165 clinical hours per semester, student arranged.
