Description
(formerly NUR 254 RN)
This is a Level IV theory and clinical course for the Registered Nurse undergraduate student. The two (2) hour/week theory component focuses on contemporary professional leadership/ management concepts and issues within the Humanistic Nursing Framework. Concepts such as managed care, collaboration and financial management are included. The concepts/issues are relevant to the Registered Nurse practicing in an integrated Health Care Network. The 135 hour/semester experiential component consists of individually selected experiences based on selected learning needs. Students are required to assemble a professional portfolio based on their experiences. Prerequisite: All prior nursing courses and Challenge Exams. (Only RN/Dual Degree or RN/Completion Students may enroll in this course.) Liability Insurance required.
