Description
This course builds on knowledge from the sciences and the Level I nursing courses. The etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, treatment modalities and implications of selected disease processes are introduced. Content includes stress response, deviations in cellular activity, inflammatory processes, immune response and fluid and electrolyte balance across the lifespan. Prerequisite: BIO 120, 121, CHE 112. Pre- or Corequisites: BIO 245, NUR 130, NUR 140, NUR 215, LPN 204, and LPN 206.
