Description

The continued study of 18th and 19th century harmony through Neapolitan and augmented sixth chords, chromaticism and modulation. Theoretical practices of the 20th century, including modes, altered scales and twelve-tone techniques, will be studied through the analysis of representative examples. Students should also be registered for MUS 206 and MUS 315. Prerequisite: MUS 213.
