Description
A survey of the history and geography of Africa, including the economic and political development of the continent. The North African civilizations as well as the cultures of Africa south of the Sahara will be discussed. Topics will include: Islamic history and traditions, tribalism, African nationalism, white minority rule, one party rule and apartheid.
