Description
This course is designed to introduce both regular and special education teachers to telecommunications and pragmatic instructional, adaptive and tool applications of technology. In congruence with the New York State Learning Standards, Common Core Standards and National Educational Technology Standards, students will integrate diversified technology tools and the realm of the web into the curriculum for information retrieval in order to acquire and share information, communicate globally and enhance learning. Through ?hands-on'' activities, teacher candidates will be shown strategies to incorporate website design, multimedia and web tools into their core curriculum and implement assistive technology for special needs students. This course also helps to prepare teacher candidates for the edTPA assessment by analyzing and applying the task of Planning for Instruction and Assessment.
