Description
This interdisciplinary course approaches twentieth century America from historical and philosophical perspectives. Through two world wars and social upheavals such as the Labor Movement, women's movement, civil rights movement, the youth movement along with technological and economic transformations, the system of American democracy has been challenged and tested in the extreme. This course explores the ideals that survived the ordeal of the twentieth century in America. Core courses are not open to Freshmen or Sophomores, except for associate degree candidates.
