Description
This course gives the student an overview of the various types of information systems available in business and their role in crafting business strategy and in effective decisions making. Exposure will be given to transactions processing systems, decision support systems, executive support systems, expert systems, with special emphasis on management information systems. In addition to covering emerging technologies, the course will also address ethical concerns related to advancements in information technology. This course is an elective, and may not be applied towards the MBA degree. Prerequisites: CIS 102
